Kimberly-Clark’s Needleless Injector

The Challenge:

Develop the mechanical design and user experience for a Kimberly-Clarks needleless intravenous medication injection technology.

The Work:

I led mechanical design through several rounds of prototyping and user testing before arriving at a ready for DMF mechanical architecture. I partnered with an industrial designer & soft goods engineer to develop the full look and feel of the device.

Results:

Kimberly-Clark received several patents on the design and was very happy with the overall product design. Unfortunately, the product never went to market because of underlying issues with the needleless technology.
