IDEO - LA County Voting Machine
The Challenge:
Los Angeles County voters decided to overhaul their voting process completely. City commissioners engaged IDEO to redesign the system and create a machine that would ensure a free and fair election with everyone able to participate.
The Work:
I served as the product designer and system engineer on a team of three that conducted initial needfinding, developed the system architecture for the new voting process, and tested the process with users.
Results:
The LAC voting system is currently used by 5 million registered voters. It is widely recognized as one of the best in the nation because of its inclusivity, ease of use, and overall effectiveness.
